Top 3

Well I can't believe it I actually made the Top 3 at Craft Your Days Away with my easel Halloween card. How exciting, my hard work is paying off. This certainly isn't the reason for creating but it's nice to be recognised.

I've been a little slack over the last week and also this week as I had a lot to do on my 3 days off this week and then this Friday I'm off for a road trip with my friends Leane and Rhonda to Sydney for the day. We are off to the Papercraft show in Penrith and then some retail therapy at IKEA as well, so at this stage I don't think I'll be doing to much on Saturday or next week as back for another big week at work from Sunday.

This time of year is a very hard time for myself and my family as 4 years ago next Tuesday 8, November we lost my father after a long battle with quiet a few medical conditions. I miss him everyday and no words can describe how much. He was the best father anyone could have ever wanted and being only 40 and having already lost a parent it's very hard to deal with sometimes. For all of you out there who have lost a parent or child I know what you are dealing with or going through.

Well that's it for me for now, sorry I may not be posting for a couple of weeks but I'm sure to catch up with you all out there on the challenges sites again soon. You just never know where or when I might show up.

Love to you all

Missed it

Oh well after all that hassle of bringing my laptop to work today I still missed the cut off for The Greeting Farm Challenge, have to make sure that I take a photo of my creations and upload well before the challenge is due to expire. I thought with the time difference between Australia and the US I'd be OK but obviously not. Never mind will try harder next time and have to have a look tonight at what this weeks challenge will be.

The Greeting Farm Monday Sketch Challenge

This was a really nice sketch, the only problem for me is I made the card a little small so I was unable to place a circle of any sort under my character but I think it still turned out OK. The other problem I have with circles is I don't have any tools to make small circles outside of my punches which aren't big enough and my EK Success circle cutter which are too big and I'm still waiting on delivery of my circle and scallope circle nestabilities.

I've made this card for one of the bosses daughters who is turning 4 next week and the stamp I've used is Flutter Anya and she is soooooooooooooo cute. I've used teal colours to colour her and her blonde hair and unfortunately until I get home from work today I'm unable to load the colour copic's I've used as I'm doing this in my lunch break as I didn't want to miss getting into the challenge on time.

This is the sketch they've given to be used

and this is my interpretation of it.

I've added Kindy Glitz to her wings and little bling to her ponytails, the paper's I've used are scraps from a Kaiser range from a few years ago, Prima bling and Stampin Up punch and stamp.

Animal Card

So I've finally coloured my first animal and I'm not too sure that I'm real happy with it but it's not too bad for a first effort. I'm looking forward to maybe looking at some more tutorials on how to do fur.

This card I've done is going to be for a friend, who like me just loves cats and recently had to put her's to sleep. She was 18 years old and an absolutely beautiful cat, giner & white and full of personality. She has been with my friend through the tough times and also through the good. Missy you will be sadly missed. xxxx

Halloween Card Challenge

Well I know that we don't celebrate Halloween out here in Australia but I thought it was worth a go going outside my comfort zone for this one considering one of the challenge sites I'd like to enter the card into was to do an easel card which is also a first for me.

I've used the La La Land stamp Witch Marci which is a digital stamp and of course my Copic Markers, and also Bearly Mine Free Digi papers Halloween theme.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine - Easel, Simon Says Stamp - Halloween or Goth, One Stop Craft - Halloween, Craft Your Days Away - Halloween Colours

Happy Halloween to everyone in the US or to anyone else that celebrates this occassion.

2nd Design Kit for Scrapsidaisy - Cherish

Well who would have thought you could create a LO that you are really happy with when you have 2 pieces of pp that you have no idea where to start with. The LO is quiet simply but I think it is really effective.

I will be handing this kit over the Leisa from Scrapsidaisy tomorrow and I'm sure it will be for sale in the store shortly.

Die Cut & Punch challenge

So I'm on a dead line for the challenge at Deb's Emerald Faeries, had no idea that tonight was the night it finished, thank goodness I had finished the card just had to take a picture. Didn't think I was going to make it due to it being dark and unable to take a photo then realised I can actually scan it, not too sure if it has turned out great but we'll see.

I've used Deb's Emerald Faeries Boo & Snookie, I've coloured using my copic (sorry forgot to right down the colours) and I've used quiet earthy tones as well as in the card. I had to make the card a large one just to be able to fit the image along with some embellishments otherwise it would have been queit boring with just the image.

I've used a Martha Stewart around the corner punch and a Stampin Up label punch for my punched items and a Labels Nestability for the cutout of the image. I also thought I'd through in some hand cut clouds and all the flowers have been cut out of an old BG pp.

I'm hoping to possibly enter this card into a couple of other challenges, however I don't have the Blogs or websites handy but I will advise of these at a later today. (tomorrow hopefully)

2nd Birthday Card Request

So as I said in my previous post I've been making cards for the people I work with and this is the 2nd one I made over the weekend.

It is Luka Fishing from La La Land and I got inspiration for the card through google images also from a website called the Inktrap.

Due to this card being very similar to the one I took inspiration from I won't be entering it into any challenges but I really love the way it turned out, so Thank You to the Inktrap.

Birthday Card requests

Well this is another card I made for my boss at work as she had a few family birthdays coming up this month so this is the first of two. This one I will be entering into the weekly Monday challenge at Craft Your Passion, the theme is A Card for all Occassions. This card does have Best Wishes on it but I guess that can mean more than one thing.

I did find some inspiration for this card through google images but unfortunately I was unable to locate the designer the next time I went back in there. So whom ever you may be thank you for the inspiration and if you would like to contact me so I can give credit please do so by leaving a comment under this post.

Requested Wedding Card

So I've been colouring up a storm as late as I've had a few requests from some of the staff at work for cards which I'm happy to do as I'm just loving my Copics and my new digi stamps and papers.

This card I've created is for one of my collegues who is attending a wedding at the end of this month and I finally finished it today. I must say that I think it is absolutely beautiful and it was great to see a wedding card done on Down Right Crafty by Kate to help get the mojo going on this one. I already new what I wanted to do and it all came together quiet well.

Sorry the picture quality isn't the best but I ran out of daylight. I was going to enter this into the Simon says stamp challenge "Sparkle & Bling" but looks like was just a little to slow this time. Maybe another challenge will arise for me to enter this one into soon.

LO from the Scrapsidaisy Sketch Challenge

I finally managed to get this LO done for the sketch challenge, it's been done for a couple of days but I had to wait for the weather to clear to be able to get a decent photo and then I've been slack in actually getting it uploaded.

This is the end result

Bearly Mine Challenge

This challenge for Bearly Mine you had to use 3 different pattern papers, I've used Spring Flight and Fairyland Dreams which I'm loving. These are great papers and they have a huge range. I created this card for my mum's birthday which was yesterday, the stamp I've used is La La Land Marci with Flower Pot. The Happy Birthday is from Deb's Emerald Faeries digital stamps, the flowers are from I am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts and the grass isa quick kutz die and the fence was from a swap but has been made using the cricut and cuttlebug for embossing.

October Sketch Challenge at Scrapsidaisy

As you are all aware by now I'm one of the new Design Team members at Scrapsidaisy, so next month is the first challenge that I will be running.

It will be a sketch challenge which you can see at the Scrapsidaisy forum in the challenge section which has now been uploaded.

The sketch that I have decided on is

I found this sketch through Google images and it is created by txpaperdoll.blogspot.com and I would just like to say that this one I don't think is too difficult. I will hopefully have the opportunity to create my version of it either tomorrow morning before work or on my days off Sunday & Monday, so once it is finished it I will upload it.

Kraft it Up - September challenge

This months challenge was

Kraft + Fabric + Stitching

So I've used a Stampin Up range of pp's, fabrics & stamps. The flowers I've used are from Wild Orchids and also my own creations (Cremen Creations). The fabric is the blue down the left hand side with the pleating on the top and the stitching is the flourish to the right of the flowers.

I hope you like it.

First kit done for Scrapsidaisy Wingham

Well my kit is finally finished and about to head over to the store tomorrow for sale. I'm very happy with the way it turned out and I also had enough products to make a card to go with it.

I'm very limited to photos as I don't have any children and my immediate family is quiet small so I've used some photo's from the internet of Bella's wedding in Breaking Dawn Part 1, as you've probably already guessed I'm a huge fan, and that is probably putting it lightly. The photo's turned out to be quiet appropriate considering the colour scheme of the Bella (lol lol) paper range I was given to use.

It is a beautiful range from Bella and I've also used their chipboard buttons and paper blooms, the range is Blackberry Jam.

The card is just the card front as you wouldn't believe it I've got no black cs in my stash, so I thinking I better pick some up tomorrow when I'm at the store.

Emerald Faeries Challenge - Pearls

Well I've finally had the chance to use one of my new Digi stamps from Emerald Faeries and she is just beautiful. Her name is Isabella, and I've created her for this wonderful challenge using Pearls and also as a birthday card for one of my Bosses.

This is one of my favourite cards I've ever made so I hope you like it.

Designing for Scrapsidaisy

I would just like to say that I'm so happy that I have been accepted as a new designer for Scrapsidaisy in Wingham.

I'm looking forward to this opportunity, I've already worked on my first design which is almost completed for a kit that will be for sale at Scrapsidaisy.

I will post the LO & card once it's finished and approved for publishing.

The Paper Shelter Challenge - Anything Goes

Well here it is my first attempt with my beautiful new digital stamps from The Paper Shelter and also my new digital pattern papers from Bearly Mine. This is all new to me but I'm loving it, the idea of digital papers is awesome as you now don't have to worry that you'll want to use that particular piece of paper again as you will always have it. Also the digital stamps are amazing as you can make them as big or small as you want and also turn them around if they are facing the wrong side. This is an awesome new world I'm entering and just loving using my Copic Markers along the way as well.

So this is The Paper Shelter weekly challenge and this one was Anything Goes, I've used the mushroom castle stamp and also the Little Sylfie, I've used the outline stamps and coloured them in with my Copic's, with these stamps you also get a coloured image which will be great if you ever need to create a card in a hurry.

Scrapsidaisy CC Song Title Challenge

This one I also had a little trouble with, trying to come up with a song title that matched a photo. So I've ended up using one of my newphew on his way to Sydney in the plane they where flying down in. The song title is Rocket Man, this came to me at dinner on Saturday night, I know that the song isn't the most appropriate for a young boy but I thought it suited the plane idea and I also had some great Rocket papers & embellishments I wanted to use. You also had to put the chorus or a verse of the song somewhere on the LO.

So this is the finally one for me, there was originally 5 challenges but since then there has been another 2 extra's added which unfortunately I will run out of time to do as I'm working all day tomorrow and we only have until Midnight Wednesday night, so unless I can get really creative after work I might manage another 1. There is a blind challenge or colour challenge so if anything I might attempt the blind challenge.

So here is my attempt at the Song Title challenge.

Scrapsidaisy CC Numbers Challenge

OK so yet again this one was going to be interesting, at the beginning of the day we had to pick a letter and a number and it would be posted later on what they meant. So later on I went back and the letter represented a particular item that had to be used and the number was how many photo's had to be on your LO. So I picked B & 5, so lucky me was stuck using 5 photo's, the letters represented the following:

A. Ribbon
B. Buttons.
C. Chipboard
D. Brads
E. Everything Above

So I've used 5 photo's of my beautiful female cat Princess, this is one of my favourite LO's in a while, I think the colours have something to do with it.

Scrapsidaisy CC Father's Day challenge

OK so for this one we had to create a LO for Father's Day ie, a father figure, uncle etc and also create a card using the left overs.

So I've scrapped a photo of David with his Father, Unlce & Newphew from our last visit, the card I've created using the same LO as the page but on a smaller version and of course there isn't a photo on it, instead I've used a Greeting Farm stamp and coloured the image in with my Copics. It is a little different to the LO as I didn't have everything on a smaller scale but it's pretty close.

CreationsByRichie.com - Web Banner Designs

Scrapsidaisy CC Receipe Challenge

Ok so this one was interesting, it was a receipe challenge and you had to use the following:

1 CS
2 Photo's
5 Buttons
2 PP's
A little bit of green

So I've scrapped photo's of myself and Bec from our couple of days together in August while I was visiting with her for a couple of days. It was a beautiful day so we went and took some photo's.

Will be uploading the other challenges shortly.

Deb's Emerald Faeries Challenge

Well this is my first time entering one of Deb's challenges, and this one was to use buttons on the card.

So here is my attempt, this is also my first time using digital pp's which I'm loving and I purchased these from Bearly Mine Designs.

Scrapsidaisy Cyper Crop Sketch Challenge

Yah Scrapsidaisy are finally having their first Cypercrop and this is my attempt at the sketch challenge, I really enjoyed this challenge as I always do with sketch challenges.

I've used Fancy Pants Happy Together range, unknown brads and fibre and ink.

This was the sketch by Pencil Lines by Anna Bowkis.

And this is my attempt

I'm hoping to attempt and couple more of the challenges but with working tomorrow I'm not too sure if I'll manage to get them all done. I'm also working on some Card challenges, so we'll just have to see what I can manage to get done tonight.
